The All Blacks will be without two Barrett brothers for Saturday’s Test against Scotland at Murrayfield.

Scott and Jordie both suffered injuries in the 26-13 win over Ireland and will undergo further medical assessments this week to determine how long they will be sidelined.

Josh Beehre has been called up from the All Blacks XV to provide lock cover in training.

Captain Scott sustained a deep gash just below his knee during the early stages of the match in Chicago. Assistant coach Lemeki Ellison confirmed that the cut was serious enough to require multiple stitches.

“I think he got 12 on the outside or 12 on the inside, or six and six. To take Scooter off that quick, and the doctor knew pretty fast it was a significant cut, so it’s a real bummer.”

Meanwhile, Jordie suffered an ankle injury later in the match. The midfielder was visibly in pain after landing awkwardly and, despite initially trying to play on, was eventually forced to leave the field.
