Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University (DBRANLU), Sonipat, on Friday (July 17, 2026) concluded its first joint international conference, with discussions spanning 10 thematic areas, including artificial intelligence, good governance, democracy, gender studies, local governance, public policy and constitutional law, while exploring avenues for global academic collaboration.

The two-day conference brought together academicians, legal experts and public policy scholars from India and abroad. Vice-Chancellor Devinder Singh said the rule of law, equal opportunity and inclusive development remained the foundation of democratic societies, and urged students to uphold constitutional values.

Prof. Charles Hankla of Georgia State University, Atlanta, who addressed the valedictory session, emphasised that trust between citizens and governments was central to good governance. During an interactive session, he shared insights from his research on asymmetric federalism and comparative public policy.

The conference also featured discussions on a proposed five-year collaboration between DBRANLU and Georgia State University, covering joint research, faculty and student exchanges, and other academic initiatives.

Registrar Ashutosh Mishra said the conference attracted research abstracts from scholars in the United States, Australia and <a href="https://absafricatv.com/united-african-festival-to-bring-rhythm-more-to-downtown/” title=”United African Festival to bring rhythm, more to Downtown”>African countries. Over two days, participants attended 10 technical sessions on subjects ranging from artificial intelligence and democratic participation to constitutional governance and inclusive development, reflecting the university’s growing international academic engagement.
