Paarl Gim defeated Paul Roos in the Stellenbosch mud to remain unbeaten this season, while Paarl Boys’ were too good for Grey College.

Gimmies scored three tries – two by inside centre Ethan Barker and one by flyhalf Louis Koen – to win 17-10 in difficult conditions at the Markotter.

Flank Luke Kent and tighthead prop Gerrit van Vuuren crossed for Paul Roos’ two unconverted tries.

At Brug Street Stadium, Paarl Boys’ fought back from 10-5 down at half time to beat Grey College 25-10 – their first win in this annual fixture since 2017.

Left wing Kaleb Holmes gave Boishaai the lead before tighthead prop JG Badenhorst and flyhalf Darius Erwee hit back for the visitors.

But the hosts dominated the second half, scoring tries through loosehead prop Jordan Jooste and outside centre Tristan Joubert, while midfielder Iwan Jordaan kicked two conversions and two penalties.
