The Blue Bulls Company has announced the appointment of Springbok Women legend Zenay Jordaan as the new head coach of the Isuzu Bulls Daisies, in an announcement made at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Monday, 11 May 2026.
Jordaan, a pioneer of the women’s game in South Africa, steps into the role with a pedigree that few can match. Her transition from a storied playing career to the coaching ranks has been seamless, underpinned by an elite technical foundation. She remains one of only two women’s coaches in South African rugby to hold a World Rugby Level 3 qualification, a testament to her dedication to the craft.
“I’m still trying to absorb everything, but I’m very excited.”
Incoming Isuzu Bulls Daisies Head Coach, Zenay Jordaan
On the field, Jordaan earned 36 Test caps for the Springbok Women, becoming a cornerstone of the national side before moving into coaching. Her tenure within the Isuzu Bulls Daisies structures is already well-established, having served two successful seasons as an assistant and co-head coach, helping shape the squad into the powerhouse franchise they are today.
Her contract will run until 2029.
“My expectations are to align better with management, put proper cultural structures in place, and establish a clear identity,” said Jordaan. “A winning culture has already been created. I want to improve our planning and take it up a notch.”
As head coach, Jordaan will serve as a generalist lead, coordinating all phases of the game plan, training methodologies, and overarching strategies. Her mandate is clear: to establish and maintain world-class rugby standards while fostering an expansive, enjoyable style of play that allows talent at all levels to thrive.
