Bamenda – A devastating fire broke out at St. Luke’s Mission Station in Ntasen, Bamenda, on the morning of Sunday, November 24, 2024, leaving the local community reeling from shock and loss.

Following a swift investigation led by the Dean of Bayelle and the Parish Priest of Ntasen, the fire was determined to have been caused by an electrical fault stemming from fluctuating current. This conclusion has ruled out earlier suspicions of arson allegedly linked to separatist fighters.

The parish priest has issued a heartfelt communique calling on people of goodwill to join in solidarity with the affected community during this difficult time.

The priest also extended an invitation to the faithful, both within the parish and beyond, to unite in prayer for the Christians of St. Luke’s Mission Station. He expressed hope that these prayers would offer the community strength and resilience to face this tragedy, encouraging them to come together in the spirit of rebuilding and healing.
