Although the lion is often referred to as the king of the jungle, some animals sometimes take it upon themselves to try and blur the lines.

In a unique and interesting encounter, an elephant taught a pride of lions a lesson.

The curiously one-sided interaction took place just north of the Tshokwane Picnic Site in the Kruger National Park. It was filmed by Deon Kelbrick and shared on Latest Sightings.

On a beautiful day, a large pride of twenty lions lay spread out on the bank of a dry riverbed. The pride consisted of a mature male, several lionesses and cubs of various ages.

Since lions are renowned for their individual and collective strength, one would assume that nothing would disturb their late morning nap.

However, things quickly changed when a gate-crasher came into view. Watch how it all unfolded, courtesy of Latest Sightings.
