Akani SImbine will be looking to keep his unbeaten record in the 100m this season but will face stiff competition from Fred Kerley and Letsile Tegobo in Rabat, Morocco in the third Diamond League meeting of the year on Sunday.

There are a total of eight South African athletes taking part. Olympic 4x100m Paris Olympics silver medallist Shaun Maswanganyi was unable to secure a visa and has withdrawn.

Olympic 200m champ Tebogo of Botswana will be attempting something rarely seen in the Diamond League: a sprint double over 100m and the 200m one hour later.

Olympic silver and bronze 100m medalist Kerley leads the American contingent

The women’s 800m may be a battle between 2024 World Indoor champ and Olympic silver medalist Tsige Duguma and this year’s indoor champ Prudence Sekgodiso of South Africa.
