The Bonny Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BOCCIMA) is set to hold the first Bonny Investment and Tourism Expo (BITE) with the theme: “Bonny Island – A Nexus for Commerce, Culture, and Tourism.”

BOCCIMA president, Mrs. Constance Nwokejiobi, disclosed this yesterday while briefing journalists at the Ernest Ikoli Press Centre in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

Nwokejiobi described the BITE 2025 expo as a bold and strategic initiative to celebrate the beauty, potential, and abundant opportunity embedded in Bonny Island.

She said, “This bold and strategic initiative celebrates the beauty, potential, and abundant opportunity embedded in Bonny Island. This project is not coincidental with the 60th birthday of His Majesty, King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, the Amanyanabo of the Ancient Grand Bonny Kingdom and Grand Patron of the Bonny Chamber of Commerce.

“Rather, it is a deliberate alignment with His Majesty’s lifelong vision to see Bonny thrive through sustainable development.

“The Bonny Chamber of Commerce is the unified voice of the business community on Bonny Island. As an active member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and NACCIMA, we proudly participate in both local and international trade and investment missions.

“Our mission is to advocate for a thriving economic environment that nurtures growth, creates jobs, and positions Bonny for global engagement.”

The BOCCIMA president stated that the expo is a platform designed to stimulate the local economy, promote youth entrepreneurship, and elevate Bonny Island as a vibrant destination for commerce, culture, and tourism.

Nwokejiobi said, “What is BITE 2025? BITE 2025 is a platform designed to stimulate the local economy, promote youth entrepreneurship, and elevate Bonny Island as a vibrant destination for commerce, culture, and tourism.

“It is both an investment drive and a destination marketing campaign, drawing global attention to the island’s business potential, rich heritage, and hospitality.”
