    Team SA enjoyed a successful day two of the Region 5 Games in Namibia when they won gold medals in karate and swimming, to take their tally to 25 medals so far, of which 10 are gold.

    It was a busy day with five sports seeing action across Windhoek and Swakopmund. The medals were raked in by swimming with 15 and karate with nine.

    Here’s a look at how Team SA fared on Saturday.

    BASKETBALL (5×5)

    Team SA U16 (girls) beat Botswana 78-33 in their Group A match

    Team SA U16 (boys) vs Namibia TBC

    BEACH VOLLEYBALL

    Boys, semi-finals: Team SA lost to Namibia 2-0

    Boys bronze medal match, Team SA lost to Malawi 2-0 (22-20, 21-17)

    7th/8th playoff: Team SA’s girls beat Namibia 2-0 (21-18, 21-8)

    FOOTBALL

    Boys, group match: Team SA drew 3-3 with Zambia 

    Girls, group match: Team SA lost 3-0 to Zambia 

    KARATE

    GOLD! Nyska Jagasur (Girls individual kata, -59kg)

    GOLD! Alexandros Kosmas (Boys individual kata, +76kg)

    GOLD! Alexandros Kosmas (karate, boys individual kumite, +76kg)

    SILVER! Girls team kata (Nyska Jagasur, Kelsy Stebenson and Ilhaam Amod)

    SILVER! Boys team kata (Joshua Links, Bohlokwa Khitsane and Alexandros Kosmas)

    SILVER! Nyska Jagasur (Girls individual kumite, -59kg)

    BRONZE! Haamin Nash (Girls individual kumite, -53kg)

    BRONZE! Joshua Links (Boys individual kumite, -61kg)
