Krabi’s ancient landscapes and towering limestone cliffs are once again in the limelight, thanks to the release of Jurassic World Rebirth—and a local resort is turning that spotlight into an experience.

Thailand’s lush, limestone-studded coastline has made its way back onto the silver screen as the primary filming location of Jurassic World Rebirth, which premiered globally on July 2, 2025.
Now, Banyan Tree Krabi has launched a limited-time “Jurassic Explorer” package, inviting guests to relive the adventure in real life.
After scouting locations as far afield as the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica, Hollywood producers ultimately chose Krabi for its otherworldly beauty. It’s a setting millions of years in the making—quite literally.
“It didn’t surprise us at all that the film’s producers would call on Krabi as the setting for a dinosaur habitat,” said Haruethai Maneerat, General Manager of Banyan Tree Krabi.
“I can’t count the number of times I’ve had guests remark that the landscape is so abundantly natural.
“We are blessed with a beachfront view directly facing the spectacular uninhabited islands of a marine national park,” she added.
“This is one of the most iconic views a visitor to Thailand can witness, and it always amazes guests to know that this untouched paradise is millions of years old.”

Movie star-inspired menus and dino-themed drinks
In the spirit of the film, Banyan Tree Krabi’s culinary team has added a few prehistoric twists to the menu.
Actress Scarlett Johansson, who stars as expedition leader Zora Bennett, revealed in a recent interview that her go-to Thai dish is laab gai—a zesty chicken salad. In her honour, the resort now offers “Jurassic Laab—A Star’s Wild Bite,” available with chicken or beef and finished with toasted rice powder for extra crunch.
Also new on the menu is the “Fossil Egg”—a hard-boiled egg wrapped in sausage, breaded, and deep-fried to golden perfection.
Cocktail lovers can sip on themed drinks at Kredkaew Bar, including:
- The Raptor Forest — a punchy mix of Midori, Chalong Bay rum, pineapple juice, lemongrass syrup, ginger ale, and lime
- T-Rex Rampage — a bold Campari-based creation
For those who need to wind down after a day of dino-hunting, the Banyan Tree Spa offers the Rebirth in Tranquillity treatment: a one-hour massage followed by a 30-minute soak in a soothing bath.
