Taking the BigLaw lead, Milbank has announced that it will pay summer bonuses to associates and counsel ranging from $6,000 to $25,000.

Milbank also paid summer bonuses last year with the same range.

Law.com and Above the Law have coverage of the new announcement.

Milbank apparently was the only BigLaw firm last year that announced summer bonuses and was the first to announce year-end bonuses ranging from $15,000 to $115,000. But many other large law firms matched both bonuses at the end of the year.

This is Milbank’s new summer bonus scale, according to the articles.

    Class of 2025: $6,000

    Class of 2024: $6,000

    Class of 2023: $10,000

    Class of 2022: $15,000

    Class of 2021: $20,000

    Class of 2020: $25,000

    Class of 2019: $25,000

    Class of 2018: $25,000

Class of 2017 and beyond: $25,000

    Special counsel: $25,000

The bonuses will be paid by Sept. 30 to associates and special counsel in good standing and will be prorated based on 2025 start dates.
