A sensational hat-trick by Relebohile Nthongoa inspired Copperbelt Ladies to a commanding 4-0 victory over Royal AM Ladies, Mokgaetji Tabetha coming off the bench to score the final goal to seal one of the standout wins of the weekend in the Hollywoodbets Super League at Seshego Stadium on Saturday, 23 August, 2025.
Nthongoa joined Copperbelt Ladies FC earlier this season, and their Saturday/Sunday victory handed Copperbelt their eighth win of the season, moving them up to seventh place in the standings, with 29 points after 20 games.
Elsewhere, City Lads edged UCT 1-nil at the Kopano Astro Grounds thanks to an Ashley Booysen strike. Next, City Lads host Ezemvelo FC, while Royal AM travel to Johannesburg to face JVW FC.
At Merino Park Stadium in the Northern Cape, UWC took an early lead through Ntombifikile Ndlovu in the 14th minute, but Onthatile Rossouw equalised for the hosts in the 41st to secure a 1-all draw.
The University of Pretoria bounced back from defeat against Fort Hare with a narrow 1-0 win over First Touch FC. Super-sub Rethabile Ngcobo made the difference in the 77th minute, and AmaTuks now prepare to host Richmond United.

Fort Hare built on their earlier win over AmaTuks with another strong performance, defeating Durban Ladies away. They will welcome UCT for their next fixture.
TS Galaxy Queens maintained pressure at the top of the table with a 1-0 win over a resilient JVW FC, who remain sixth on the log.

In a six-goal thriller between student rivals, the University of Johannesburg defeated TUT FC 4-2. Player of the Match Thato Mofolo netted a brace, with teammates Refilwe Maseko and Thubelihle Shamase also on target.
Tshogofatso Motlogelwa and captain Sibongile Ntoane responded for TUT, but UJ’s firepower proved too strong. UJ will face title-chasing TS Galaxy Queens in what promises to be another intense battle at the top in their next encounter.
