Former member of parliament Boy Mamabolo has officially quit the African National Congress (ANC) after 29 years of membership.
In a letter to ANC provincial secretary Reuben Madadzhe, Mamabolo said he could no longer endure what he described as ongoing abuse within the party.

“This was a challenging and heartfelt decision,” Mamabolo wrote, adding that his exit from the ANC was not taken lightly.

Mamabolo also raised grievances about what he called his “illegal ousting” from parliament. He argued that his removal was not conducted fairly and suggested it formed part of a broader pattern of mistreatment directed at him.

Beyond his complaints of abuse, Mamabolo accused the ANC of sabotaging his attempts to establish a new political party. He claimed deliberate efforts were made to prevent him from pursuing his new political path.

Mamabolo has not yet revealed his next political step.
