Fridah Ndinda has defended her Hollywoodbets Joburg 10km title after keeping ahead of a talented field to win the richest 10km prize in South Africa, at the Wanderers Club in Illovo, Johannesburg, Gauteng, on Saturday, 13 September, 2025.

The 24-year-old Kenyan was chased all the way by SA marathon queen, Gerda Steyn – who finished in silver in the final stages of her preparations for the Cape Town Marathon midway through November – and the podiums completed by Karabo Mailula.

Ndinda says that she has been running the race since 2022, and that though the hilly Johannesburg course was difficult, the cheering crowds gave her strength to finish the race strongly.
