Three political movements — Rise Mzansi, Build One South Africa (BOSA), and the Good Party — have officially come together under a new banner called Unite for Change.

The formation of this new political entity was revealed during a media briefing held in Johannesburg on Sunday.

The party will be registered with the Electoral Commission and is expected to contest the upcoming local government elections. Despite this collaboration, all three founding organisations will continue to exist independently.

Speaking at the announcement, BOSA deputy president Nobantu Hlazo-Webster emphasised that this initiative was driven by a collective vision for South Africa’s future, not political expediency.

“Today, three national political parties, and their respective leaders, have heard the call of the nation, put aside their differences, and taken the formative steps towards building an offering for citizens to unite around in bringing change and hope to villages, towns and cities across South Africa,” said Hlazo-Webster.

Hlazo-Webster confirmed that the party’s registration process is underway and that it will campaign under the new name in the 2026 Local Government Elections.
