Team SA’s Rebecca Meder was again among the medals in the third and final leg of the Swimming World Cup, in Toronto. She finished third in a 100m breaststroke race won by American Kate Douglass, with Ireland’s Mona McSharry taking second spot.

The 23-year-old Meder added to her haul of three bronze medals from the first two stops, making it four bronze medals in three weeks. This time she stopped the clock in 1:04.48.

Douglass won the 100m breaststroke event for the third week in a row and claimed the ‘triple crown’ in 1:02.93. It wasn’t a personal best time for her, but it was an extra $10,000 in her pocket.
