Orlando Pirates return to action this afternoon when they travel to the Moses Mabhida Stadium to face Richards Bay.

It’s a winner-takes-all affair in today’s Carling Knockout semi-final. The Buccaneers are fresh off a solid 3-1 midweek league victory over Golden Arrows.

Richards Bay on the other hand will be looking to get back to winning ways after drawing their previous two matches.

Orlando Pirates coach provides injury update

Orlando Pirates’ victory over Arrows came at the cost of Sihle Nduli.

The hard-running midfielder unfortunately picked up an injury in the match. And now, Abdeslam Ouaddou has confirmed that he’ll play no part in this weekend’s cup match.

“He is in Johannesburg with our medical department. I’d be lying to you if I said I have all the information. Now, he is under assessment,” Ouaddou said as quoted by Goal.

The Orlando Pirates coach further went on to provide updates on Olisa Ndah and Makhehleni Makhaula.

The experienced duo have both returned to full training however, they’ll gradually be introduced back into the playing fold.

Ouaddou has confirmed that he won’t be throwing them straight into the deep-end, to protect them.

    Bucs gunning for second trophy

Abdeslam Ouaddou’s side are effectively 90 minutes away from playing another cup final.

Orlando Pirates have already lifted the first trophy of the season in the form of the MTN8.

The Buccaneers unfortunately crashed out of the CAF Champions League during the preliminary rounds.
