Three South Africans featured for Montauban in their 53-17 defeat to Pau. Ru-Hann Greyling packed down at hooker, while JT Jackson started at centre. Former Sharks and Stormers loose forward Sikhumbuzo Notshe came off the bench.
Former Stormers scrumhalf Herschel Jantjies started for Bayonne in a 49-17 loss to La Rochelle at the Stade Marcel-Deflandre.

Six South Africans featured in the Northampton Saints’ 47-21 win against the Sale Sharks at Franklin’s Gardens. Lock JJ van der Mescht started for Saints, while lock Hyron Andrews, loose forwards Ernst van Rhyn, Jacques Vermuelen and Dan du Preez, flyhalf Rob du Preez and centre Marius Louw represented Sale.
Scrumhalf Ivan van Zyl captained Saracens as they suffered a 30-24 defeat to the Exeter Chiefs at StoneX Stadium in London.
Midfielder Benhard Janse van Rensburg started for the Bristol Bears in a 40-14 win against Harlequins at Twickenham Stoop in London.
Johann van Graan’s Bath powered past the Newcastle Red Bulls 50-14 at Kingston Park. Prop Francois van Wyk muscled over the line and was joined by Springbok Thomas du Toit from the bench. Sebastian de Chavez started at lock for the Red Bulls, with former Sharks and Bulls utility back Boeta Chamberlain coming on at fullback with five minutes remaining.

Japan Rugby League One
World Rugby Player of the Year Malcolm Marx scrummed down at hooker for the Kubota Spears in their 50-28 win against the Tokyo Black Rams at the Fukuda Denshi Arena. Lock pairing Ruan Botha and Dawid Bullbring, flanker Tyler Paul and Merwe Olivier reinforced the Kubota pack, while Rikus Pretorius started in midfield.

Springbok No 8 Jasper Wiese was a replacement for the Urayasu D-Rocks in their 37-19 loss to the Saitama Wild Knights at the Kumagaya Rugby Stadium in Saitama. Former Sharks lock Ockie Barnard and Juan Wilson featured off the bench for the Wild Knights.
Springbok loose forward Kwagga Smith captained the Shizuoka Blue Revs in their 26-22 loss to the Toshiba Brave Lupus at the Yamaha Stadium in Shizuoka. Smith was joined by former Lions centre Sylvian Mahuza.
