    Dubai Airports and Emirates to resume limited number of flights today

    Resumption of operations has begun to resume in Dubai airports

    Dubai Airports has confirmed that a limited resumption of operations will begin later today, Monday March 2, at both of the city’s airports: Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC).

    Only a small number of flights will be permitted to operate initially, as authorities continue to carefully manage the situation.

    While this marks a positive step forward, schedules remain subject to change.

    Don’t go to Dubai airports unless your airline contacts you

    Travellers are strongly advised not to proceed to DXB or DWC unless they have been contacted directly by their airline with a confirmed departure time.

    Passengers should continue to check directly with their airline for the latest updates on flight status and timings, as changes may occur at short notice. Dubai Airports said it is working closely with relevant authorities and that its focus remains on maintaining the highest standards of operational safety, security and the wellbeing of passengers and staff.

    Emirates and flydubai to operate limited evening flights

    Emirates and flydubai have also confirmed that they will begin operating a limited number of flights starting from the evening of March 2. Emirates says customers with earlier bookings will be prioritised. Passengers who have been successfully rebooked onto these limited services will be contacted directly by Emirates with further details.

    For flydubai, the airline has announced the following flights to resume although customers are advised to update their contact details via Manage your booking and check their flight status before heading to the airport.

    • FZ 8489 DXB – VKO
    • FZ 8205 DXB – KZN
    • FZ 8263 DXB – SVX
    • FZ 8081 DXB – OVB

    Flights returning to Dubai International (DXB)

    • FZ 662A HGA – DXB
    • FZ 307A ISB – DXB
    • FZ 326A MUX – DXB
    • FZ 376A ISB – DXB
    • FZ 316A SKT – DXB

    What happens next?

    Further updates are expected as operations gradually scale up. For now, travellers are urged to remain patient, monitor official airline communications and avoid travelling to the airport without confirmed information.
