Looking for indoor things to do this spring break in Abu Dhabi? These fun activities will keep kids busy and entertained

Spring break is fun for about three days. By day four someone is lying on the couch claiming there is absolutely nothing to do. Good news. Abu Dhabi has plenty of indoor things to do from adventures where kids can climb, bounce, paint, craft and burn off enough energy to sleep well later.

    Indoor skydiving at CLYMB

    What’s On archive

There are days for gentle activities. This is not one of them. At CLYMB Abu Dhabi, the wind tunnel lifts you clean off your feet. Instructors guide you through the basics, and suddenly you are floating mid air, arms wide, grinning like a superhero. If heights are more your thing, the climbing wall towers impressively overhead. Either way, it’s a thrill day. Loud laughter included.

    Location: Yas Island

Time: Daily from 12pm, earlier opening on weekends. Pre booking essential

Cost: From around Dhs215 for indoor skydiving experiences

    Contact: (02) 656 1000

    Trampoline therapy

When cabin fever creeps in, Bounce Abu Dhabi is the cure. Wall to wall trampolines. Foam pits. Slam dunk lanes. Dodgeball courts. It is loud and exactly what certain ages need. They jump until they can’t jump anymore. You sit and watch and feel deeply satisfied.

    Location: Marina Mall, Corniche

    Time: 10am to 10pm

Cost: From around Dhs85 for a one hour session

    Contact: (04) 304 9333

    Paint outside the lines

Creative days matter too. At Manarat Al Saadiyat, workshops range from painting to mixed media. Tables covered in colour. Aprons splattered with evidence of a good morning. It’s structured enough to feel productive and free enough to feel joyful.

    Location: Saadiyat Cultural District

Time: Daily 10am to 8pm, workshop times vary

Cost: From around Dhs50 depending on class

    Contact: (02) 657 5800

    Pottery calm at Studio Clay

    What’s On archive

There is something hypnotic about a spinning pottery wheel. At Studio Clay, hands press into clay and suddenly the room goes quiet. It’s messy but mindful too and you leave with something you made yourself, even if it leans slightly to one side.

Location: 658 Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed St, Abu Dhabi

    Time: 10am to 4pm

    Cost: From Dhs200

    Contact: (02) 666 1017

    Tufting workshop

    Tufting Time

Put the phone down and make something you can actually take home. This tufting workshop teaches you how to turn yarn into your own custom rug, no experience required. It’s calming, creative and strangely addictive once you get going.

Location: Al Seef Village Mall, Abu Dhabi

    Time: 10am to 10pm daily

    Cost: From Dhs150

    Contact: (058) 590 2996

    Archery focus

    What’s On archive

At Al Forsan International Sports Resort, archery lessons teach focus, posture and patience. You stand still, breathe and aim. There’s something powerful about hearing the arrow land on the target. Quietly impressive. Deeply satisfying.

Location: Al Forsan International Sports Resort, Khalifa City

Time: Daily from 9am, booking recommended

Cost: From around Dhs100 per session

    Contact: (02) 656 5656

    Snow in the desert

Walking into Snow Abu Dhabi feels like stepping into another country. Jackets. Frosty air. Actual snow underfoot. There are sled rides, climbing structures and enough icy fun to forget you were sweating in the car park five minutes earlier.

    Time: Daily 10am to 10pm

Cost: From around Dhs120 per pass depending on package
