A high-ranking attorney for an Arizona county was fired after being accused of filming a 12-year-old girl at a Target store last month.
The girl’s father confronted Paul Correa, who served as Chief Civil Deputy County Attorney for the Cochise County Attorney’s Office, and caught him allegedly watching the video with “disheveled” pants, according to the police, Fox 10 Phoenix reports.
Police officers responded to the scene, and bodycam footage shows Correa repeatedly denying the allegations.
Correa has been charged by the La Paz County Attorney’s Office with harassment, per allegation of sexual motivation, public sexual indecency and tampering with physical evidence. Cochise County Attorney Lori Zucco fired Correa after meeting with investigators, according to Fox 10 Phoenix.
Correa is scheduled to appear in court next month, according to the report.
