The United States (US) embassy in Windhoek has confirmed that Namibia is not included in the latest US entry restrictions announced by president Donald Trump, reassuring Namibian citizens that their visa eligibility and travel to the US remain unchanged. The Department of Tourism in partnership with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) will launch the Kgodumodumo Dinosaur Interpretation Centre in the Free State province next week. Namibia’s tourism sector is set for major restructuring under the proposed National Spatial Development Master Plan, which targets an increase in direct tourism jobs from 57 000 to 80 000 by 2030.
