Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill says it is not his job to set up the team for any “other manager to come and beat” his side. The comment came after Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann described Northern Ireland’s style as “not brilliant to watch” following his side’s 3-1 win in Cologne during World Cup qualifying last month.Nagelsman added: “It not easy to defend a lot of long balls and not easy to defend a lot of second balls.”The sides will meet again this month, with Germany coming to Belfast on Monday, 13 October, three days after Northern Ireland face Slovakia at Windsor…

Thank you.” That’s the message from Adekunle Gold as he releases his brand-new 15-track album, “Fuji.” Before today’s release, he had already teased fans with four singles: “Obimo,” “Coco Money,” “Bobo” featuring Lojay and Shoday, and “Believe.” Now, the full project is here, and he’s asking everyone to enjoy it the way he designed it — start to finish.…
Noluthando Makalima will represent South Africa at the World Para Surfing Championships in Oceanside, California, from 2 – 7 November 2025. Based in Khayelitsha, she is training to deliver her best performance. To participate, she needs to raise money to cover travel, accommodation and related expenses. Like many sportswomen, Makalima must self-fund her participation. A BackABuddy page has raised a small amount of the funding needed as all World Championship participants are responsible for their own costs. As a member of the Roxy Davis Foundation, Makalima shared with gsport what participating in this prestigious international competition means to her. She…

The very first shot introduces their little one: a tender black-and-white close-up of the newborn swaddled in soft…

Photo Credit: Omowunmi Dada/Instagram Omowunmi Dada just proved that birthdays deserve a little sparkle—or in her case, full-on gold. For her big day, she chose a strapless metallic gown that’s basically a golden dream: sculpted bodice, floral accents at the waist, and a floor-length fringe skirt with a high slit that makes every step look like a runway moment. Think liquid sunshine, but couture. She finished the look with her hair braided back into a crown-worthy style, bold earrings, and a gold cuff, keeping everything on-theme. Her makeup stayed glowy and fresh, letting the dress do all the talking. The…
Fair play to Leeds, they have really surprised and impressed me so far. There is a good balance to their team because they carry a threat and can dig in too.Apart from a heavy defeat at Arsenal, they have been competitive in every game so far and their good start would have been even better but for late goals against Fulham and Bournemouth. Even so, they have got more points than I expected at this stage and Daniel Farke deserves a lot of credit. I think there were question marks over whether he could manage at this level because of…
Marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary, Sterling Bank has announced the removal of Account Maintenance Fees (AMF) on all personal accounts, a decision that puts the spotlight back on consumer costs in the country’s banking sector. The announcement follows an earlier move in April 2025 when the bank eliminated charges on local online transfers. With this latest adjustment, Sterling becomes one of the few financial institutions in Nigeria to take aim at two of the most commonly applied fees in the retail banking space. In 2024 alone, account maintenance and e-banking fees reportedly generated over ₦650 billion in revenue for Nigeria’s…
