On his first Scotland start, I think Miller has done himself absolutely millions of favours with his performance. He’s very, very calm – quite chilled actually. That’s due to his family, his dad (former Scotland striker Lee Miller) keeping him grounded! His composure and quality is top notch and he expresses himself in the game. It’s like he’s not bothered by being on the big stage. His attitude is, ‘I’m playing with my mates here’. That’s top mentality.Do I think he will start in Denmark? I don’t. But will he be one of the ones that’s in Clarke’s mind to automatically come on…
Photo Credit: Tayo Odueke/Instagram The Ojude Oba Festival was a full display of style, flair and culture yesterday. Fashion was everywhere you looked, from bold gele styles to sunnies and richly coloured iro and buba. The women arrived in full glam and turned the celebration into a runway of sorts. And guess who made an appearance? Tayo Odueke. The Nollywood actress brought the drama in the best way. She wore an all-black ensemble that stood out in all the right ways: a long, flowing black coat with sharp, structured shoulders layered over a sleek black dress. The lower part of…

Farooq Oreagba made a grand appearance at the Ojude Oba Festival yesterday, and not in just one look, but two. Of course, no one’s surprised, and certainly, no one’s complaining. Widely known as the king of steeze, Farooq arrived first in a rich agbada made up of shades of brown and beige, embroidered with sharp geometric patterns in brown, gold and blue. He paired it with a brown cap and a walking stick, completing a look that turned heads, especially when he rode into the arena on a horse. But that wasn’t all. Farooq returned later in a second…

Photo Credit: Niyi Fagbemi/X Two days after Eid-el-Kabir, while many in Nigeria are still savouring the rhythms of the holiday, a different kind of celebration unfolds in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. The focus shifts from sacrifice and devotion to colour, fashion, and pageantry. This is Ojude Oba, a festival that reflects the enduring spirit of the Ijebu people. The festival began at a point of religious transition. In the 1800s, as Christianity expanded into Ijebu-Ode, missionaries Rev. R.A. Conner and Rev. E.W. George baptised 41 men. As part of the conversion, each man was expected to keep only one wife. For…

Photo Credit: Veekee James/Instagram You can officially welcome Veekee James to the 3rd floor! She clocks 30 today, and obviously, she did not just wake up and throw something on. No, she built up to it. The designer spent the days leading up to her birthday rolling out a series of high-impact looks that served drama, detail, and, most surprisingly, not her own label. Instead, she pulled pieces from designers across the continent. We’re talking a Ghanaian-made stunner, a Cameroonian creation, and other standout pieces from fashion names that weren’t hers. If there’s a better way to hype your big…
