As reported by Cape Town Etc, the Mother City secured fourth place.

According to Time Out, thousands of people around the world were surveyed about the food in their city.

Cape Town’s food culture is shaped by diverse influences, with one local favourite standing out—the iconic gatsby, which even Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis has praised. From street food to fine dining, the city continues to impress both locals and visitors.

This accolade adds to Cape Town’s growing list of global recognition in 2025.

It was also ranked as a top 10 destination for finding love, while a local coffee shop and restaurant received high praise on international lists.

With its ever-evolving food scene, the Mother City continues to make its mark as a world-class culinary destination.
