Kaizer Chiefs return to Betway Premiership action this evening when they host Stellenbosch FC.

The Glamour Boys’ only chance of winning silverware this season is via the league trophy.

However, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns’ form means Chiefs need a near-perfect second half of the season.

They’ll have to reignite their domestic campaign tonight without two key players though!

Kaizer Chiefs coach confirms double blow

Co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef has confirmed that he’ll be without two key players this evening.

Etiosa Ighodaro and Reeve Frosler are both set to miss tonight’s clash against Stellenbosch FC.

“Ighodaro is still far away, he needs two more weeks,” the Kaizer Chiefs coach said as quoted by IDiski Times.

“And also, Reeve is out. But I think the other players are ready for tomorrow, and for our next game.”

According to Ben Youssef, the rest of the squad are healthy and up for selection.

    Amakhosi face tough Stellies test

Chiefs welcome Stellenbosch to the FNB Stadium this evening.

The match is scheduled to begin at 19:30. This match will serve as a curtain raiser before Saturday’s Soweto derby.

The Glamour Boys face arch rivals Orlando Pirates at the same venue on Saturday.

If they struggle tonight, and on Saturday, their league title hopes could very well vanish into thin air by the end of this week.
