Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has opened up on the enormous financial commitments involved in maintaining his lifestyle as one of Africa’s biggest music exports.
The award-winning singer revealed that he spends between $200,000 and $300,000 every month, an amount estimated at about ₦300 million to ₦400 million, to sustain his lifestyle and meet the demands attached to his global career.
Davido made the revelation during a recent livestream with content creator Davrel, where he offered fans a rare insight into the financial realities behind life as an internationally recognised entertainer.
The singer explained that the amount covers several aspects of his lifestyle and career operations but does not include the personal expenses of his wife, Chioma Adeleke, or other members of his household.
“I spend between $200,000 and $300,000 every month, and that doesn’t even include my wife’s expenses or the rest of my household,” Davido said.

Davido explained that being one of Africa’s most successful entertainers comes with responsibilities that go beyond personal comfort and luxury.

“It also doesn’t include expenses for the purchase of luxury cars and jewellery,” he added.
The singer’s comment suggests that his spending could rise significantly during periods when he acquires luxury assets or makes major investments.
