    For tea lovers, the world is a treasure trove of enchanting destinations. These locations celebrate the beloved beverage and serene moments shared over steaming teacups.

    From vibrant tea houses to lush plantations, there is indeed plenty to explore and enjoy. Each destination has its own distinct flavours, traditions and experiences waiting to be uncovered and explored.

    Here are some must-visit destinations for travel enthusiasts who appreciate the art of tea.

    China

    China is widely considered as the cradle of tea culture and offers a rich tapestry of traditions. Some regions in the country provide visitors with the opportunity to explore tea plantation, as well as to participate in traditional tea ceremonies.

    For example, the picturesque landscapes of the Longjing (Dragon Well) tea plantations near Hangzhou are a sight to behold. On your visit, you can grab the opportunity to taste the renowned green tea right at its source.

    Sri Lanka

    Formerly known as Ceylon, Sri Lanka is renowned for its high-quality black tea.

    When exploring Assam, you can tour sprawling tea estates as you learn more about the tea-making process.

    Japan

    Japan boasts a tea culture which is deeply intertwined with its aesthetics and philosophy. A number of destinations within the country are essential stops for tea lovers. These include the serene tea gardens of Uji, as well as the iconic matcha of Kyoto.

    United Kingdom
