Dolphin Telecoms South Africa has officially launched its Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), delivering affordable mobile connectivity designed for people who live, work, study, or regularly travel in South Africa while maintaining strong ties with their home countries.
Following a successful soft launch, full commercial operations commence on 5 August 2026 on Cell C’s network.
The launch marks the first step in Dolphin Technologies Group’s strategy to build an integrated telecommunications and digital payments ecosystem across Africa.
Unlike traditional mobile operators, Dolphin combines local mobile connectivity with digital financial services.
Through Dolphin Pay, customers will progressively be able to receive money, fund digital wallets, purchase airtime and data, make digital payments, and access additional financial services as new capabilities are introduced.
