    Emirates suspends all Dubai flights until further notice

    UPDATE: Passengers with an afternoon flight on March 7 may proceed to the airport

    At approximately 11am on March 7, 2026, Emirates put out an advisory that all flights to and from Dubai have been suspended until further notice. But less than an hour after, another official update was made announcing that Emirates is resuming operations and ‘passengers who have confirmed bookings for this afternoon’s flights may proceed to the airport. This includes customers transiting in Dubai, if their connecting flight is also operating.’

    Emirates stressed that ‘the safety of our passengers and crew is our highest priority and will not be compromised’ and thanked their customers for their understanding and patience. 

    According to the Dubai Media Office, ‘the situation is being handled in accordance with approved safety protocols.’

    Options offered by Emirates

    In the official social post, Emirates offered up options to customers booked to travel on February 28 to March 31, 2026.

    Customers can rebook another flight to their intended destination for travel on or before April 30. Customers who booked directly with Emirates can reach out here, while those who booked through a travel agent are advised to reach out to their agent.

    Customers can also request for refund by completing the online form here if tickets are booked directly with Emirates. Customers can also request a refund from their travel agents. 

    For all official updates, Emirates urged their passengers to check if their contact details are correct by visiting  emirat.es/managebooking.

    Emirates added that all city check-in points in Dubai are temporarily closed until further notice.
