Ben Youngs says he has “never seen anything like it” after watching the Springbok scrum dismantle Ireland in Dublin on Saturday night.
The Boks won six scrum penalties – including one that led to a penalty try – as they triumphed in Dublin for the first time since 2012.
“Tell me a team or another game where you see that much dominance at Test level,” said Youngs on the For The Love Of Rugby podcast.
“This is tier one. This is international rugby. This is the best of the best. And the [Ireland] scrum is getting absolutely hosed.”

The former England scrumhalf referred to the Irish front row of Andrew Porter, Dan Sheehan and Tadhg Furlong as “experienced heads”.
“They’ve been there, they’ve seen it all,” he added.
“I’ve honestly, categorically, never seen anything like it.”
