The women of Fish Hoek Surf Lifesaving Club demonstrated incredible prowess, determination, and resilience leading the club to a phenomenal victory at the Lifesaving Western Cape Championships 2025, held at Strand Beach in the Western Cape on 15 and 16 March, 2025.
Competing against nine Western Cape Provincial Clubs and two visiting clubs, Fish Hoek showcased outstanding skill and sportsmanship, accumulating an impressive 1,468 points, comfortably ahead of the second-placed club with 1,001 points.
A huge contributor to this remarkable triumph was the exceptional performance of Georgia Singe, the Junior World Surf Ski Champion 2024, who reaffirmed her dominance by winning her specialist events—Board, Surf Ski, and Iron—while also clinching the prestigious Vitrix Ludorum.
Singe’s remarkable grit and determination have continued to inspire her peers and set a high standard of excellence.

The club’s beach athletes also delivered an outstanding performance led by Eve Abrahams, the Junior World Champion 2024 in Beach Flags, who claimed victory in both the u17 Beach Flags and Sprint events, in addition to her remarkable feat of winning the Open Ladies Sprints.
Abrahams’ unwavering dedication and competitive spirit remain unmatched, solidifying her reputation as one of the brightest talents in the sport.
U17 star Emma Neethling emerging among formidable competitors including Nicola Harcus and Ellen Strydom, contributing significantly to Fish Hoek’s exceptional medal haul of 52 Gold, 42 Silver, and 48 Bronze medals.
Fish Hoek Surf Lifesaving Club continues to excel in both competition and community service, providing a vital lifesaving service on the False Bay coast while fostering the growth and development of lifesaving sport, especially amongst the female athletes.
The club’s continuous success in all local competitions over the past summer season is a testament to the dedication of its athletes, coaches, and supportive community.
