Every accomplished producer begins with inspiration. For Nigerian music producer Ruth Achor, known professionally as RUTIPEZ, that inspiration came from listening to some of Africa’s most influential artists.

Growing up immersed in the sounds of Afrobeats, reggae, and gospel music, she admired performers including 2Baba, D’banj, Wizkid, and 9ice. Their songwriting, creativity, and ability to connect emotionally with audiences inspired her to pursue a career in music production.

That passion became reality in 2018 when she officially launched her professional journey as a producer. Since then, she has developed expertise across music production, recording, mixing, songwriting, and artist collaboration.

Rather than simply replicating existing sounds, RUTIPEZ has focused on creating music that reflects African culture while embracing contemporary production techniques. Her records are characterised by rich melodies, polished arrangements, and messages centered on hope, unity, and personal growth.

Her work has contributed to commercially released projects that have surpassed 100,000 streams across Spotify and other digital streaming platforms, while also earning radio exposure throughout Nigeria.

In May, she released Wilderness, an album widely regarded as an important reflection of her artistic evolution. The project combines contemporary Afrobeats with deeply personal storytelling, reinforcing her commitment to meaningful music.

Now preparing a new 15-track album with international collaborations, RUTIPEZ continues to build a career defined by innovation, cultural authenticity, and a long-term vision for African music on the world stage.

As Afrobeats expands into new territories, producers who combine technical excellence with genuine artistic purpose are expected to remain at the forefront of the genre’s continued global success. RUTIPEZ appears determined to be one of them.
