The stage is set for the most influential gathering on Africa’s trade and investment calendar as African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), African Union Commission (AUC) and African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, announced the official line-up of prestigious speakers for the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF2025), taking place from 4th – 10th September 2025 in Algiers, Algeria.

For seven days, more than 35,000 delegates and 2,000 exhibitors from across 140 countries will converge in Algeria’s capital, Algiers, creating a global marketplace forecast to unlock over US $44billion in trade and investment deals. The agenda promises game-changing conversations, high-level negotiations, and vibrant cultural showcases all designed to accelerate Africa’s integration and economic transformation under the AfCFTA.

Opening with a Presidential Summit Day, the Fair will welcome President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of The People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria alongside former Nigerian President and IATF Advisory Council Chair, H.E Chief Olusegun Obasanjo GCFR, AfCFTA Champion H.E. Mahamadou Issoufou, former President of Niger, and several Heads of State and Government from various African and Caribbean states. They will be joined by Afreximbank President Prof. Benedict Oramah, AfCFTA Secretary-General H.E Wamkele Mene, and African Union Commission Chairperson H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, setting the tone for a week of bold ideas and decisive action.

This year’s programme is packed with unmissable moments; notably the Global Africa Diaspora Day – celebrating the continent’s ties with its diaspora; the Algeria Investment Forum showcasing the host nation’s gateway potential; Arise Industrialisation Day driving value addition; Creative Africa Nexus (CANEX) spotlighting the power of Africa’s cultural industries; the Africa Automotive Show uniting the continent’s automotive manufacturing ecosystem; the Dangote Pavilion and Dangote Special Day celebrating intra-African trade and industrial champions; and the AU Youth Start-Up platform empowering the next generation of African entrepreneurs.

Additionally, on stage will be some of the most influential voices shaping the future of Africa and the Caribbean. Among the confirmed speakers are Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organisation; Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Group; Dr. Pamela Coke-Hamilton, Executive Director of the International Trade Centre; Ralph Mupita, President and Group CEO of MTN Group; Adewale Tinubu, CEO of Oando Plc; and Kola Olajide, CEO of SAVA. They will be joined by influential leaders such as Professor Hilary Beckles, Vice Chancellor of the University of the West Indies; Mr Parks Tau, Minister of Trade, South Africa; H.E. Prof. Kamal Rezig, Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, H.E. Fatma Zohra Barca, Algeria’s Minister of Environment and Renewable Energies and Algeria’s Minister of Industry, H.E. Sifi Ghrieb, together with many others from across government, business, innovation, energy, and agriculture, these voices will shape conversations that advance Africa and the Caribbean’s shared future.

“The Fair is not just an event, it’s a marketplace and a movement,” said Ms. Kanayo Awani, Executive Vice-President of Intra-African Trade & Export Development, Afreximbank. “It is exciting to see us finally get to this point, with the Fair now only days away after months of arduous preparation. We encourage African businesses and global investors to seize this opportunity to scale operations, form strategic partnerships, and take full advantage of the AfCFTA.”

With registration now closed, preparations are in full swing, and both the organisers and the Government of Algeria are ready to ensure smooth arrivals and a seamless experience for all delegates. With its blend of high-level diplomacy, cutting-edge business forums, cultural excellence, and hands on investment opportunities, IATF2025 is set to make history in Algiers.
