Jacob Zuma has unveiled a new Presidential Task Team for the Umkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party, a move aimed at strengthening the party’s day-to-day operations as South Africa heads towards local government elections.
The team consists of 11 members and includes Zuma’s son, Duduzane Zuma, marking a notable development in the party’s leadership structure during a critical pre-election period.

Zuma explained that the task team will take on delegated responsibilities to maintain consistent operational management across the country.

“They are going to be playing very important roles in terms of helping and adding to what we say. For example, I might be in Durban, Joburg, or Cape Town and everywhere else, so it is important that I have a team that will be on the job all the time,” Zuma said.
