Kaizer Chiefs’ fixture with TS Galaxy has been postponed, the club confirmed on Tuesday.

Amakhosi were set to travel to Mpumalanga to play The Rockets on 20th September in a Betway Premiership clash.

“The TS Galaxy vs. Kaizer Chiefs match scheduled for this month has been postponed,” Chiefs said in a statement.

“Amakhosi have a CAF fixture on the weekend of 20th Sept, and the alternative date (14th Sept) is unavailable due to other logistical considerations related to Mbombela stadium hosting the MTN8 final. The PSL will advise on a new date.”

Kaizer Chiefs second in the Betway Premiership

Chiefs also confirmed that their clash with Sekhukhune United was moved to the 16th of September. The two teams will battle out for top spot. So for Babina Noko top the Betway Premiership on goal difference and a win over Amakhosi will see them go three points clear.

For Kaizer Chiefs, a win will see them top the log for the first time this season. With 13 points from a possible 15, the Glamour Boys are enjoying their best league start in a decade.

Having finished ninth last season, Amakhosi look like a different team this season and are yet to concede a goal in five matches.

Can Chiefs win the league or is it too early to make a call?
