As Banyana Banyana prepare to defend their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title in Morocco next month, most teams in the Hollywoodbets Super League enjoyed a break, but a few key fixtures still lit up the tournament’s weekend 18 on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 June 2025.
University of Cape Town made a statement in their debut season, claiming a 2-1 home win over University of Pretoria at the Kopano Astro when Zinise Norris gave UCT the perfect start in the 7th minute, and Nabeelah Galant added another strike in the 21st. Gabonnelwe Kekana scored a consolation for AmaTuks in the 83rd minute.
The return leg will take place at Tuks Stadium on 28 June, where the Tshwane outfit will be looking to bounce back.

Durban Ladies looked set for all three points after racing to a 2–0 lead within eight minutes thanks to early goals from Skye Lewis and Okuhle Sithole, but second-half substitute Thandi Rameri and teammate Nomphela Yakuphi helped Copperbelt Ladies FC claw their way back to a 2–2 draw at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.
Royal AM Ladies and University of Fort Hare shared the spoils in a goalless stalemate in Saturday’s final fixture, while Tshogofatso Motlogelwa’s 5’ strike saw TUT Football Club edge Richmond United 1-0 at the TUT Stadium, to add another win to their campaign on Sunday.

With Banyana Banyana’s WAFCON preparations in full swing, the University of Pretoria will host UCT Women’s FC in the SABC-televised match at 3pm on Saturday, while Richmond United are away to First Touch Ladies in Sunday’s only fixture, the kickoff also at 3pm for a live broadcast final match before the international break, with action set to resume in August.
