A first-of-its-kind partnership has seen English football club London City Lionesses and TOGETHXR, the women-athlete-owned media and commerce company, embark on a historic collaboration.

“London City Lionesses was founded to reimagine women’s football – to be bold, independent, and drive women’s football forward.”

London City Lionesses Owner, Michele Kang

“Our partnership with TOGETHXR reflects that same goal and allows us to do it at pace! Seeing ‘Everyone Watches Women’s Sports’ on our kit is a powerful statement,” said Kang, “And we look forward to starting influential conversations that progress women’s sport.”

The women-led athlete brand is featured on the front of a kit for a professional women’s sports team, for the first time ever.

The company was founded by US Women’s National Team icon, Alex Morgan, former WNBA star Sue Bird, American swimmer Simone Manuel, and snowboarder Chloe Kim.

“We’re joining forces to reaffirm that the future of women’s sports is here; it’s global, and it’s inevitable,”

    TOGETHXR Co-Founder, Alex Morgan

“London City Lionesses were born to disrupt football, and TOGETHXR was born to disrupt sports media. As both make global statements, we’re driving fandom, storytelling, and revenue.”

The shirts made their debut in September as the Barclays Super League side aims to disrupt women’s football in a positive way. Both organisations seek to elevate women’s football on a global scale, both on and off the pitch.

London City Lionesses is the only independent club in the WSL. Alongside TOGETHXR, they embody the power of visibility, community, storytelling, and women-led ownership.

Through this partnership, London City Lionesses and TOGETHXR hope to amplify global women’s football by driving visibility, deepening storytelling, and strengthening the community of fans around the club.

In the same way that London City is stepping into the Barclays Women’s Super League on its own terms, TOGETHXR built a media company without waiting for validation from the existing sports media establishment. TOGETHXR was built independently, not as a spin-off.

The media and commerce company is women-athlete-owned by four of the world’s most accomplished and decorated athletes to ever compete, with TOGETHXR actively repositioning how narratives are written, how athletes are covered, and what it means to see, celebrate, and invest in women’s sports coverage.
