Today’s Orlando Pirates rumour wrap is, unsurprisingly, focused on Monnapule Saleng. There’s also the latest on Tshepang Moremi.

    Fan discontent swirls around Saleng

Let’s start in the present moment before we rewind it to the start of Saleng’s rollercoaster Pirates career. As things stand, on 07 March 2025, Sea Robbers supporters are torn. However, there’s plenty of sentiment that no single player is bigger than the club while a quote from a reader stood out:

Has Moremi decided to reject Orlando Pirates?

According to SoccerLaduma, Kaizer Chiefs will make a formal offer for Tshepang Moremi, who’s also on the radar of Orlando Pirates and Sundowns. The 24-year-old Bafana man has chipped in with two goals and an impressive six assists in 20 league matches this term. Is he the creative spark Chiefs need? Another potential stumbling block is AmaZulu’s reluctance to let go of their star man. Usuthu believe they have the financial means to offer the player an attractive new deal which would see him spurn offers from the traditional ‘Big Three’ in South Africa.

“For now, what we can tell you is that Chiefs are set to table an offer for Tshepang (Moremi). They are serious about him and that’s why they want to table this offer for him. The team is looking at restructuring for next season, and Moremi is one of the players they are looking at bringing in,” the source revealed.

“There has been interest in Tshepang, and it’s not only from Chiefs or Pirates. Mamelodi Sundowns are also believed to be interested in him. However, the issue will be with AmaZulu, as they are not ready to release him unless the money is too good. You should know that AmaZulu also pay very well at the moment. So it’s all up to AmaZulu even if Chiefs table the offer,” the source explained.
