Orlando Pirates stars set to exit amid new signings

Orlando Pirates stars set to exit as the Bucs make room for new signings.

With Jose Riveiro leaving it concludes the reign under the Spanish tactician and brings forth a new era. This publication therefore believes that a number of high profile stars will leave to ease the wage bill.

    Young Pirates players stake claim

With the rise of young players from Pirates development it has encouraged the Chairman to invest more in giving the youth more opportunities. But of course the new head coach would still want investment from outside in order to catch up with Mamelodi Sundowns.

This would obviously mean that heads will roll, especially from those who are injury prone, and those who have nor impressed the previous regime. The likes of Maela will almost definitely leave, as well as others who have little to no game time in the 2024/2025 campaign.

    New recruits almost completed

The reported new signings that are close to being finalised has been a promising defender Nkosikhona Ndaba(22) from Richards Bay,  Masindi Nemtajela(23), a rising star from Marumo Gallants and two Baroka FC stars in defender/midfielder Tshepo Mashiloane(23) and winger Kabelo Kgositsile(20).

As the Orlando Pirates stars wait for their fate, a number of decisions are going to be made. Especially players like Monnapule Saleng with his endless fight with the Bucs, Miguel Timm, Zakhele Lepasa, and Maela as mentioned before. But the talented Karim Kimvuidi will also want to move, with PSL suitors very interested.

Others like Tshegofatso Mabasa and Evidence Makgopa who were so important this season. They will also come into the conversation, as one might have to leave in order to hold a starting position. Mabasa has been linked with the North African giants. Makgopa who has come in clutch at the end of the season also has his African giants admirers.

Who should Orlando Pirates let go?
