Tourism Minister Patricia de Lille is set to appear before the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Tourism on Tuesday. She will provide clarity on the recent dissolution of the South African Tourism Board and other related developments.
Last month, De Lille announced that she had dissolved the Board after it failed to follow due process during a special meeting in August.

At that meeting, the Board decided to suspend Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nombulelo Guliwe. However, the decision was taken while the Board had no Chairperson in place, raising questions about its legality.
“The Board failed to follow due procedure,” De Lille said in her earlier statement, explaining the reason behind her decision.
