    South Africa had two medals as we headed into the final at the World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi. Two-time Team SA Paralympian Sheryl James has one bronze, as does Collen Mahlalela. Both Puseletso Mabote and Simone Kruger have medal prospects on Sunday.

    Mabote broke the Championship record in the heats of the men’s T63 100m on Sunday with a time of 12.06sec, which saw him qualify fastest for the final.

    Here’s a list of how all squad members have performed at the Championships.

    MEN

    T47 100m, heats: Collen Mahlalela finished 3rd in his heat in 11.18 and qualified 8th for the final

    T47 100m, final: Collen Mahlalela finished 8th in 11.21 

    T47, 400m, heats: Collen Mahlalela won his heat in a season’s best 48.76  

    T47, 400m, final: Collen Mahlalela finished 3rd in a personal best 48.04  

    T63 100m, heats: Puseletso Mabobe on his heat in a Championship record 12.06

    T63 long jump, final: Puseletso Mabobe finished 4th with a best leap of 7.01m

    WOMEN

    T37 100m, heats: Sheryl James finished 2nd in her heat in 13.84 and qualified for the final 

    T37 100m, heats: Liezel Gouws finished 3rd in her heat in 14.29 and qualified for the final 

    T37 100m, final: Sheryl James finished 5th in 13.90 and Liezel Gouws was 7th in 14.32

    T37 400m, final: Sheryl James finished 3rd in the straight one-off final in 1:06.21

    T37 long jump, final: Liezel Gouws finished 5th with a season’s best 4.25m
