Adam Radwan produced a match-winning display to keep Leicester Tigers firmly in the English Premiership play-off race, scoring twice in a high-tempo 36-28 victory over Saracens on Sunday.

The winger’s electric pace proved the difference in a contest packed with attacking intent, as Leicester built enough of a cushion to withstand a spirited Saracens response.

Leicester struck early through Freddie Steward and Olly Cracknell, taking control of the opening exchanges and forcing Saracens onto the back foot. Although Theo McFarland pulled one back for the visitors, Radwan responded in emphatic fashion, racing onto a clever kick from Billy Searle to stretch the lead.

Saracens were given a boost when Maro Itoje was introduced from the bench, with the England captain making his first club appearance since October. His arrival, however, failed to shift the momentum.

Radwan struck again in the second half with another eye-catching finish to deliver the decisive blow, capping a performance that underlined Leicester’s attacking threat.

Joe Heyes also crossed for the home side, while Searle kept the scoreboard ticking with four conversions and a penalty.

Saracens remained competitive, with tries from Rhys Carre, Juan Martín González and Charlie Bracken, all converted by Fergus Burke, but they were unable to reel Leicester back in after Radwan’s second score.

The win keeps Leicester’s play-off ambitions firmly alive, while Saracens were left to rue missed chances in a game that swung on moments of brilliance out wide.
