Will your Christmas Day plans be visited by the Grinch?

After we were blessed with rain last week, you might be curious about the weather on Christmas Day in Dubai – especially if your plans are outdoors.

According to several forecasting platforms, the worst of the rainfall now appears to be over (for a while). While the skies are now clear, a cold front has moved in behind the storm system, bringing noticeably cooler temperatures to Dubai.

Here’s the weather forecast for the upcoming week in Dubai

    • Monday, December 22: High of 25°C, low of 16°C
    • Tuesday, December 23: High of 25°C, low of 17°C
    • Wednesday, December 24: High of 25°C, low of 18°C
    • Thursday, December 25: High of 26°C, low of 19°C
    • Friday, December 26: High of 26°C, low of 18°C
    • Saturday, December 27: High of 26°C, low of 18°
    • Sunday, December 28: 26°C, low of 18°C

There won’t be rain in Dubai this Christmas time

While there’s no rain predicted on Christmas Day, the day is expected to be hazy, and the probability of rain remains very low, hovering at just 6%. Which means your outdoor Christmas Day plans for the day won’t be ruined by the Grinch.

Now we know you want to show off your Christmas attire, but if you get chilly easily, you may want to bring a jacket, as wind gusts are expected to touch 26km/hour.

    No Christmas Day plans yet?

If you don’t have reservations at the very many spots in Dubai celebrating Christmas Day, don’t worry; here are some things you can do to keep your festive spirits high.

You can visit a Christmas market with little ones and meet Santa, or… you can stay at home and enjoy a cosy, intimate dinner with loved ones over a turkey takeaway. Do note, you need to book your bird in advance, so plan ahead. Post your meal, snuggle up and watch one of these festive movies.
