South Africa is heading toward a tipping point that could lead to collapse within the next five years. That’s the stark warning from Songezo Zibi, who says growing frustration among citizens is pushing the country closer to political instability.

According to Zibi, the lack of clear direction has weakened confidence in the democratic process, leaving South Africans feeling disillusioned and impatient.

The Government of National Unity (GNU), Zibi argues, has a narrow window to act. “The GNU has only five years to rescue the country or watch South Africans increasingly gravitate towards dictatorship and strongmen,” he cautioned.
