Southern Gauteng will face Western Province in the women’s final of the 2025 SA Women’s Indoor Hockey inter-provincial in Johannesburg with championship, relegation and promotion matches to be decided following semi-final results at the Beaulieu College in Johannesburg, on Friday, 28 February, 2025.

Three superb days of action have culminated in the revelation of title match contestants ahead of the final day on Saturday at the Spar Indoor Hockey IPT 2025.

Southern Gauteng produced an incredible fight back to score twice, both by Paris-Gail Isaacs, in the final minute against Northern Blues to end an incredible 3-3 draw. Southerns would strike in the shootout with Sarah Paget staring to send the hosts to the final.

Western Province eliminated the defending champions KZN Raiders in a big victory. Kayla de Waal scored a hat-trick, while a brace from Malikah Hamza made it 6-0 to confirm a new champion in 2025.

WP Peninsula and North West could not be separated after a 2-2 draw which Peninsula had led 2-0 before being pegged back, holding their nerve to win the shootout 2-nil.

Southern Gauteng came back twice against Northern Blues for an incredible 3-3 draw, edging the shootout 2-1 to contest the final.

SG Witsies levelled their B Section match with a final-minute strike by Siliziwe Mxinwa to draw with Mpumalanga, but it was the low-veld side that triumphed in the shootout, scoring the only goal through Gia Henning.

Northerns Invitational were too good for Eastern Gauteng winning 5-0 with five different goal scorers including another for captain Daniela Patrizi

KZN Inland scored first but ultimately went down 3-2 to Southerns Invitational to miss out on the final.

The action continues on Saturday and fans can catch all the games live on SuperSport’s YouTube channel. The finals will be live on SuperSport Variety 3.
