Team South Africa has had an excellent start to their CAA U18 & U20 Championships campaign in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, Nigeria, on Wednesday, 16 July 2025.
The team from Mzansi has seen their female athletes excel on the first day of the event, which runs from 16 to 20 July 2025.
Mia Davel and Martha Nkosi were top performers as the pair won the High Jump, a discipline that South Africa has come to dominate in recent years at the competition.
Davel secured first place in the U20 final, securing an all-important gold medal, as Nkosi was second, bringing home silver.
