NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The Virginia Zoo in Norfolk announced Wednesday that it has welcomed two new cheetahs to its African Safari Trail, according to a press release.
Cheetahs Walnut and Cashew are three-year-old male cheetahs who are brothers, coming from a private AZA facility. The duo are a bonded pair who have been together since birth.
The zoo has advised that as Walnut and Cashew weren’t visible to the public at their previous facility, they might take time to adjust to their new surroundings. The zoo also advised the public to be patient because the pair may be shy.
