As a bride, you are the star of the show, and the goal is to be lavishly spoiled with sweet gifts on your big day—no stress, just plenty of love.
In keeping with Yoruba traditional wedding customs, the groom is asked to present money known as ‘owo obe‘ to his new bride. This serves as proof of his ability to take care of her, and this groom sure understood the assignment. Draped in stunning purple Aso-oke, he reaches into his pocket and pulls out wads of cash in different currencies, handing them over to his beaming bride. Seated gracefully on his lap, she dances with joy, clearly thrilled by the generous amounts being gifted to her. The money keeps flowing in bundles, and she flaunts each one, waving them in the air for all to see while playfully asking for more. It’s such a delightful and entertaining moment, and we absolutely love it for them!
