It was the Tshwane A that took the all-important victory 36-26 to be crowned the U19 A netball final winners after a hard-fought battle to beat Johannesburg A in the 2025 Telkom Netball Championship final at Hoërskool DF Malan and Laerskool Totius in Bellville, Cape Town on Friday, 11 July 2025.
The Gauteng derby was always going to be a tightly contested affair as both teams dominated proceedings in the lead-up to the final, having gone unbeaten in the group stages, but it was the Pretoria outfit to hold their nerve for the victory and the 2025 title.
Under the tutelage of Amanda Mynhardt, Tshwane A retained the title they won in 2024, when they beat Cape Wineland, explaining that her charges executed the game plan to perfection.
“The age they are at, it’s hard to stick to the game plan, but for me, it’s the intellect of these players that was really surprising, and how they stuck to what we wanted to do today.”

For the silver medalists, Coach Adine Adriaanse said that the Johannesburg A team were outstanding, despite entering the tournament as complete strangers. “It was outstanding, coming together as a team, not knowing each other.”
“We knew the final would be tough…well done to Tshwane. It was an exceptional experience. The vibe was something magical.”
